What it is

The feast, briefly

The child Mary is brought to the Temple and, the tradition says, received into its holiest place — the living temple entering the stone one she will surpass. It falls inside the Nativity Fast and lifts it to fish for the day.

The full feast-preparation guide — how to carry the fast into the feast, what to bring, what to expect at the service — is written out in the Vigil app. These pages give the date and a short note; the app gives the whole guide.
