Common issues
I purchased but the app says I haven't
Go to Settings → Restore Purchases in the app. Make sure you're signed in to the Apple ID you used to purchase. If you used Family Sharing, the family organizer's Apple ID must be active.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → Vigil+ → Cancel. Cancelling keeps access until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app does NOT cancel a subscription. If you bought Vigil+ Forever, there's nothing to cancel — it never renews.
The fasting rule looks wrong for my parish
First check Settings → Parish calendar — Old and New Calendar parishes see different dates, and this fixes most reports. If the rule itself still looks off, remember Vigil shows the common traditional guideline; your parish may keep it differently, and your priest's word comes first. Spot a genuine data error? Email us — corrections ship fast.
I want a refund
Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, find the purchase, and request a refund. Apple's refund policy applies. We don't see your payment information and can't refund directly.
The audio doesn't play
Make sure your phone isn't on silent (the side switch). Make sure the volume is up. Try restarting the app. If that doesn't work, restart your phone.
How do I delete my account / data?
Uninstall the app to delete all on-device data. Email us at [email protected] to delete your anonymous backend account.
Does this app share my data with anyone?
No. We don't share data with advertisers, analytics companies, or third parties beyond the minimum needed for purchase verification (RevenueCat) and crash diagnostics. See our Privacy Policy.
A note on what we can't help with
Vigil support can fix the app, not your fast. Questions about how strictly to keep the fast, health conditions and fasting, or anything pastoral belong with your priest — and for medical concerns, a physician. If you are in medical distress, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number.
